White Cinderella Carriages add elegance, romance and beauty to a wedding that cannot be achieved any other way. Imagine a magnificent horse, pulling a sparkling white Cinderella Carriage. Inside this plush velvet upholstered carriage is a lovely bride. Her wedding gown surrounds her. People gasp at such a sight! Our carriages showcase a bride’s beauty for all to see!
Since 1991, Peppermint Creek Carriage Company has been providing carriage service throughout the Central Valley. We have many styles of carriages from very formal to country style buggies. Our White Cinderella Carriages are the most popular for weddings. They are very formal carriages called Vis-à-vis, which means face-to-face in French. The King of France designed these carriages for his Royal family. They were, and still are, considered the height of beauty, elegance and civility.

My wedding and reception is going to be held in the same location. What can you do with the carriage?
Some of our best work is done in this type of situation. We can make several trips bringing in the bridesmaids then bring in the bride with her father. We wait in the wings until the ceremony is complete, then sweep the bride and groom off with the “Just Married” sign on the back of the carriage. You can enjoy the carriage as long as you wish. Parading up and down a main street of your town is always a lot of fun. People will honk, say “congratulations”, cheer for you. It is great! When we come back we would set up for some pretty photos with the carriage.
How far can a horse-drawn carriage go?
You probably would not want to travel farther than five miles on your wedding day because of the time it would take to do so. We feel that two to three miles is ideal, however we have traveled much greater distances. We can make suggestions and provide you with information.
Can you travel on city streets? Do I need to get a special permit?
Yes, we travel on city streets with no problems. No special permit is required. Horse-drawn carriages are legal moving vehicles.
My wedding is at night. Is that a problem?
We do a lot of carriage work at night. We take special precautions: We use extra lighting (carriage lamps, light garlands), reflective gear on the horses, reflective slow moving vehicle signs, and pilot cars front and back with their emergency flashers on. The carriage really looks phenomenal at night!
My father has bad knees. Will he be able to get in and out of the carriage?
It is easier to get in and out of a carriage than an automobile. It is a single step up and with the next step you are in the body of the carriage.
My wedding is in July. I am worried about the heat.
There is a top on the carriage that is similar to a convertible top on a car. The top can be put up, on the spot, to protect you from the harsh sun. We also provide a Victorian parasol (umbrella for the sun) if you wish to have the top open. The parasol can also be used as a prop for the photographs.
Please contact us for rates and to plan the best use of our carriages. Our service will please you beyond your expectations.
